Miss Gina- Tap Syllabus, Troupes and Private Lessons

Gina was born and raised in Newcastle NSW. She started dancing at age 6. Although ballet classes with Tessa Maunder were her first taste of dancing, she quickly discovered Tap Dancing was her true love and at age 8 commenced lessons with Newcastle tap legend, Les Griffith. She had the pleasure of being 1 of his students whilst he created the highly regarded L.G.T.D.A Tap Syllabus and has continued on not only teaching this syllabus but is now an examiner of it as well. She has also adjudicated both in Australia and New Zealand.

Gina believes a versatile dancer and performer branches out into all genres of the performing arts. Although Tap was her passion as a child, she continued on with her ballet classes as well as jazz, national character, physical culture, singing, drama and gymnastics.

After a short break from teaching to start up a business with her husband, she is so excited to be back into it and sharing her love of Tap with our BDC students.
