Belmont DaNce Centre

Dana Fischer

Dana Fischer is our dedicated acrobatics teacher and has been working with at Belmont Dance Centre since 2018!

Acrobatics is one of the most difficult dance styles to teach as it takes care, precision and flexibility. However, it’s no challenge for Miss Dana who was an elite gymnast for over eight years!

Miss Dana is extremely nurturing and excels at teaching new skills to our students in a safe environment. One of her favourite things about teaching at Belmont Dance Centre is watching students succeed at learning these new skills.

“I love to watch my students grow their confidence to be able to tackle the harder acrobatic skills each week,” Miss Dana said. Miss Dana also loves the amazing and supportive teaching staff she gets to work with and learn from.

While Miss Dana is our acrobatics teacher, she’s a lover of all dance styles. She loves to watch lyrical performances and combine different styles outside of the classroom. Miss Dana is excited to perform various dance styles when she stars in the Metropolitan Players’ production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert at the Civic Theatre in 2021.

While it may seem typical, Miss Dana fully believes the statement, ‘dance like no one is watching’, and always encourages her students to pursue their dreams. Miss Dana is proof that dance is a lifelong skill – she can still do three back handsprings in a row and she’s almost 40 years old! She says it’s her ultimate fun fact and party trick.

When she’s not teaching acrobatics, Miss Dana loves spending time with her friends and three kids. She also has a green thumb, so you’ll likely find her tending to her numerous plants!
