What age can my child start dancing?
At Belmont Dance Centre, we offer classes for dancers of all ages, starting with our preschool programs for our youngest dancers and continuing through to senior levels.
What should my child wear to their first class?
For a first or trial class, comfortable clothing that allows your child to move freely is perfect. Once enrolled, we'll provide you with information about the appropriate uniform and dance shoes for their classes.
Can my child try a class before enrolling?
Absolutely! We offer a FREE taster class so your child can experience a class, meet our teachers and see what Belmont Dance Centre is all about before enrolling.
Does my child need previous dance experience?
Not at all! We welcome dancers of all abilities, from complete beginners through to experienced dancers. Our teachers will help your child find a class suited to their age and experience.
What if my child is shy or nervous about starting?
That's completely normal! Our teachers create a welcoming and supportive environment and will help your child settle into their class at their own pace.
How do I know which class is right for my child?
We're happy to help! Get in touch with the Belmont Dance Centre team and let us know your child's age, experience and interests, and we can recommend the best class for them.
How do I enrol?
Getting started is easy! Contact Belmont Dance Centre or follow our online enrolment process to find the right class for your child. If you're not ready to enrol just yet, you can start with a free taster class.
Where can I park?
Parking is available nearby in carpark as well on the street
We recommend for all families to be cautious of timed parking both in the carpark and on the street.
Can parents watch classes?
To help protect the privacy of all our students, parents are not permitted to watch classes.
We know how special it is to see your child perform which is why we hold shows where families can come along and see everything they have been working on!
Do you offer competitive dance opportunities?
Yes. For dancers interested in taking their training and performance experience further, Belmont Dance Centre offers opportunities to participate in performance troupes, competitions and eisteddfods.
Do students get the opportunity to perform?
Yes! Our dancers have the opportunity to showcase their hard work in our mid-year and end-of-year productions, giving family and friends the chance to see their progress and celebrate everything they've achieved.
What classes do you offer?
We offer a wide range of classes including Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap and Acro, with classes available across different ages and ability levels.
